1Learn How To Pray: START HERE β€” The Lord's Prayer

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

Matthew 6:9-13 (KJV)

holybiblehighlights.org/LordsPrayer

"The Lord's Prayer is the perfect model of prayer, taught by Jesus Christ Himself. It encompasses adoration of God, submission to His will, petition for daily needs, forgiveness, guidance, and protection. Pray this with reverence and sincerity, letting it shape your relationship with the Almighty."

2Read The Holy Bible (For Beginners)

  • Start with the Gospels: John β†’ Matthew β†’ Mark β†’ Luke
  • Then Acts & Epistles: Romans, Ephesians, Philippians

3Meditate On The Word

"Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful."

Joshua 1:8

4Confess Your Sins To YHWH And Repent

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

1 John 1:9

5Forgive Thyself & Seek Forgiveness From YHWH

"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

1 John 1:9

"As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us."

Psalm 103:12

"He will again have compassion on us, and will subdue our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea."

Micah 7:19

Theology: We do not earn forgiveness through our own efforts; we receive it through repentance and faith in God's promise. When God forgives, He does not keep a record of wrongs (1 Corinthians 13:5).

6Learn To Cast Out Demons (Use As Spiritual Tool)

Rebuke, bind, command and cast out demons / monitoring spirits both near and far.

"And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues."

Mark 16:17

"We do not command darkness by our own strength; we invoke the name of Jesus, who holds all authority in heaven and on earth."

Matthew 28:18

For the believer, "casting out" is an act of spiritual warfare performed under the delegated authority of Christ. It is a sign of faith, demonstrating that the power of the Resurrected Lord dwells within the believer. Because Jesus has already defeated the powers of darkness at the cross (Colossians 2:15), the believer simply exercises the victory that Jesus Christ has already secured.

* DO N🚫T RELAPSE! (IF YOU DO, DON'T PANIC, REPEAT STEP 1-6) *

7Keep The Commandments

Exodus 20:2–17 and Deuteronomy 5:6–21 β€” these commandments are designed not to restrict our freedom, but to guide us into a life of love toward God and our neighbors.

  1. "You shall have no other God's before Me." (God alone is worthy of worship).
  2. "You shall not make for yourself an image..." (Avoid idolatry; God cannot be contained by human craftsmanship).
  3. "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain." (Treat God's name with deep reverence).
  4. "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy." (Set aside time for rest and worship).
  5. "Honor your father and your mother." (Respect and value the family unit).
  6. "You shall not murder." (All life is sacred, created in the image of God).
  7. "You shall not commit adultery." (Faithfulness and the sanctity of marriage).
  8. "You shall not steal." (Respecting the property and labor of others).
  9. "You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor." (Truthfulness in speech and character).
  10. "You shall not covet." (Contentment rather than selfish desire for what belongs to others).

The Heart of the Law

While these commandments provide a framework for ethical living, Jesus clarified their ultimate purpose. When asked which commandment was the greatest, He summarized them into two core principles in Matthew 22:37–40:

"'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Matthew 22:37-40

8Align Thyself To God's Will

In the Lord's Prayer, Jesus explicitly teaches His disciples that the priority of the believer should be the alignment of earth with Heaven β€” meaning, we seek His agenda before our own.

"Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."

Matthew 6:10 (KJV)

Suggestion

Start your day with a simple prayer of surrender: "Lord, today I bring my plans to You. If they align with Yours, please bless them. If they do not, please change my heart and my steps to follow Yours instead."

May you find comfort in knowing that as you seek His will, He promises to guide you with His eye upon you (Psalm 32:8).

9Trust The Process And Spread The Gospel In Good Faith!

"Then Jesus came to them and said, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.'"

Matthew 28:18-20

The Power of the Message

The Apostle Paul reminds us that the Gospel is not merely words, but a supernatural force that brings salvation. This gives us courage to share it, knowing the power lies in the message, not our own eloquence.

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile."

Romans 1:16

10Use Discernment And Exercise Righteous Judgement

When considering the concept of righteous judgment, the most concise and direct instruction from Scripture comes from the words of Jesus in the Gospel of John:

"Do not judge by appearances, but judge with righteous judgment."

John 7:24 (ESV)

Understanding the Context

In this passage, Jesus is addressing the religious leaders who were judging Him based on their own traditions and outward perceptions. To "judge with righteous judgment" means:

  1. Alignment with Truth: We are not to rely on human intuition, personal bias, or outward appearances (1 Samuel 16:7), but rather on the objective standard of God's Word.
  2. Humility and Self-Correction: Before assessing others, Jesus instructs us to examine our own hearts: "First take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye" (Matthew 7:5).
  3. Spiritual Discernment: Righteous judgment is intended to restore and uphold God's truth, not to condemn or tear down. As Galatians 6:1 explains, if we see someone caught in a transgression, we should restore them "in a spirit of gentleness," while being careful not to fall into temptation ourselves.

Ultimately, we are reminded that God is the only perfect Judge (James 4:12). When we do exercise judgment, it must be done with the same mercy, humility, and love that God has shown us.

11Fellowship With Likeminded People And Teach Those That Seek!

Biblical Hierarchy: God β†’ Christ β†’ Husband β†’ Wife β†’ Children

"But I want you to know that the head of every man is Christ, the head of woman is man, and the head of Christ is God."

1 Corinthians 11:3

God designed a divine order for the family. This hierarchy isn't about superiority but about roles and responsibility. God leads Christ, Christ leads the husband, the husband leads the wife, and together they lead the children. Each person submits to their authority while loving those under their care. This structure brings peace, order, and blessing when honored.

Water & Spiritual Baptism / Rebirth

In Christian theology, the concept of "rebirth" (often called being "born again") is foundational. While there are different denominational perspectives on how water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Spirit function, Scripture presents them as distinct yet complementary aspects of a believer's new life in Christ.

1. Water Baptism: The Public Profession of Faith

Water baptism is the outward sign of an inward transformation. It acts as a symbolic identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The Meaning: It represents the washing away of sin and the public declaration that the believer has "died" to their old way of life and been "raised" to walk in newness of life. It is an act of obedience.

The Scriptural Basis:

"We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."

Romans 6:3-4

"Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."

Acts 2:38

2. Spiritual Baptism: The Internal Transformation

Spiritual baptism (often referred to as the "baptism of the Holy Spirit") is the work of God within the human heart. This is the moment the Holy Spirit indwells a person, regenerating their spirit, convicting them of sin, and uniting them to the Body of Christ.

The Meaning: While water baptism is performed by human hands, spiritual baptism is performed by God Himself. It is the actual "rebirth" that brings a person into a living relationship with the Father. It is the mark of authentic faith and the seal of salvation.

The Scriptural Basis:

"For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body β€” whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free β€” and we were all given the one Spirit to drink."

1 Corinthians 12:13

"He saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit."

Titus 3:5

Conclusion

In the early Church, these two events often happened in close succession. Water baptism serves as the beautiful, public milestone of the invisible, life-changing work of the Holy Spirit. Both are essential for a complete understanding of the Christian journey: the Spirit makes the rebirth possible, and water baptism makes the rebirth visible to the world.

Disclaimer: Different Christian traditions hold varying views on the necessity and timing of these baptisms. We encourage you to continue studying the Word of God through prayer and consultation with your local church leadership.
