Biblical Financial Wisdom

The tithe (10% of your income) is holy unto the Lord. It's not yours to keep—it belongs to God. Tithing is an act of obedience, worship, and trust. When you honor God with your first fruits, He promises to bless and provide abundantly. Never skip the tithe—it opens the windows of heaven over your finances.

Biblical stewardship requires planning. Create a budget, track your spending, and live intentionally with your money. Hasty, impulsive spending leads to poverty. Diligent planning leads to abundance. Know where every dollar goes and make it serve God's purposes.

Debt is financial bondage. Avoid it whenever possible. If you have debt, make a plan to eliminate it aggressively. Don't finance lifestyle with credit cards or loans. Live within your means, save for purchases, and stay free from the slavery of debt.

The wise save, the foolish spend it all. Build an emergency fund (3-6 months of expenses). Save for future goals. Don't live paycheck to paycheck. Saving demonstrates wisdom, foresight, and trust that God will continue to provide.

Laziness leads to poverty. Diligence leads to prosperity. Work hard, be reliable, and give your employer your best effort. Don't be entitled—earn your income through faithful, excellent work. God blesses those who work diligently as unto Him.

Generosity is godly. When you give to the poor, you're lending to God Himself—and He repays. Beyond your tithe, look for opportunities to bless others. Give sacrificially, cheerfully, and secretly. Generosity breaks the power of greed and opens the flow of blessing.

Money isn't evil, but loving it is deadly. Keep your affections on God, not wealth. Use money as a tool for kingdom purposes, not as an idol. Be content with what you have, trust God as your provider, and don't let greed corrupt your soul.

Prioritize God over money. When you seek His kingdom first—tithing, giving, living righteously—He adds everything you need. Don't stress about provision; focus on obedience. God takes care of those who put Him first.

Stop comparing yourself to others. Be content with what God has given you. Coveting leads to debt, envy, and sin. Gratitude and contentment attract blessing. Trust that God knows your needs and will provide faithfully.

Your finances are a worship opportunity. Give God the first and best of your income, not leftovers. When you honor Him with your wealth, He fills your storehouses. Financial obedience unlocks financial blessing.
