Pray immediately — call on the name of Yahusha (Jesus)
Flee the situation physically — leave the room or the app
Text your accountability partner right away
Quote Scripture out loud (memorize Matthew 5:28, 1 Cor 6:18)
Take a cold shower or go for a hard walk/run
Remember your 'why' — your freedom, your future spouse, your calling
Guarding Your Eyes
Install content filters (Covenant Eyes, EverAccountable, Fortress)
Turn off social media triggers — unfollow accounts that stumble you
Avoid late-night phone use; charge devices outside the bedroom
Practice the 'bounce' — look away immediately when something catches you
Make Job 31:1 your daily covenant: 'I made a covenant with my eyes'
Limit isolation — stay in shared spaces when tempted
Building Boundaries
Identify your triggers (boredom, loneliness, stress, late nights)
Replace the habit time with Bible study or worship music
Find an accountability partner you can text any hour
Remove every source — delete apps, clear history, block sites
Establish a wind-down routine without screens before bed
Join a brotherhood or purity group ( Celebrate Recovery, Remedy, etc.)
Daily Spiritual Armor
Start each day in prayer and the Word
Confess yesterday's slip to God immediately (1 John 1:9)
Memorize one purity verse per week
Fast regularly to discipline the flesh
Worship and thank God out loud — the enemy flees praise
End each day with gratitude, not screens
